The brief from our clients was simple; “Complete the extension and renovation by Christmas!” This was our benchmark and the whole team really dug deep to make our clients request a possibility.
Demolishing the existing back deck/sunroom and laundry was the first step. Once we had a clean slate we were able to excavate for the concrete footings. The subfloor brickwork and Laminated Hyspan joists sheeted with chipboard gave us a perfect working platform to commence on the wall and roof framing. Once the roof sheets went on we had 8 weeks to complete the project before the Christmas deadline. This was achievable due to the clients being organised in all aspects of the build and our hard worth ethic.
As you walk around the back of the house it’s easy picturing yourself chilling out at the table on the back deck having a few quiet beers soaking up the last daylight of the summer afternoons. This deck constructed of recycled tallow wood posts and decking boards is the perfect sized external area flowing out of the dining/kitchen area through French doors.
The stainless steel commercial looking kitchen is a standout and the clients (who could easily double as professional chefs) make good use of this classy and organised area.
