To modernise the house and create a parents retreat on the new extension by adding 2 bedrooms (one to be used as an office), an ensuite, walk in robe and a lounge room with large glass sliding doors on an undercover external verandah.
We successfully completed our clients brief by firstly beginning construction on the extension as well as stripping the existing fibro sheeting and replacing it with new cladding. This really helped us to achieve a new look home. Secondly came the inclusion of the carport/entrance roof and decking to the front of the house. Finally, we completed the house extension by giving the ground floor a serious makeover.
The Cedar timber panelling to the ceiling of the alfresco area combined with the concrete like tiles work great together to create a truly unique outdoor living space. The use of colours for the cladding and roofing give the exterior a beach house look with the spotted gum decking tying in with the cedar ceiling. The open riser internal stairs have a brilliant effect on the overall colour theme.
